Study notes
How Bacteria divide (Binary Fission): 1. The bacterium gets bigger and prepares for a copy-paste job. 2. It replicates its single circular DNA (its instruction manual). 3. The cell membrane starts growing inward from the middle. 4. A new wall forms between the two halves. 5. The cell splits into two identical 'daughter cells.' Now, instead of one, you have two independent bacteria.
