Role of other organs in excretion (lungs, liver, skin)
Human excretory system · Biology
Study notes
After sprinting, you pant — the lungs blow off extra CO2 and water vapour from hard-working muscles. In fever, sweat drenches the skin as it dumps heat, water, and salts. A heavy drinker's liver works overtime converting alcohol to less toxic forms — the same detox machinery that handles medicines and poisons.
