Study notes

Pasteur's swan-neck flask experiment (1861) killed spontaneous generation: broth in the curved-neck flask stayed sterile for years — microbes came from air, not from nothing. Yet NASA's Mars rovers still hunt for fossil microbes — because panspermia (life arriving from space) remains unrefuted, and finding Martian life would rewrite the origin story.
