Q: A factory claims bulbs last more than 1000 hours. Set up H₀ and H₁. H₀: μ = 1000 (status quo; or μ ≤ 1000). H₁: μ > 1000 (the factory's claim - what we seek evidence for). One-sided (right-tailed) test: only large x̄ counts as evidence. Burden of proof is on H₁!
