Study notes

Scenario: You are using a 0.5-meter long wrench to tighten a bolt. You apply a force of 10 Newtons at a 90-degree angle. Step 1: Identify the Force (F) = 10 N. Step 2: Identify the Lever Arm distance (r) = 0.5 m. Step 3: Check the angle. Since it is 90 degrees, we use the full force. Step 4: Multiply force by distance. Calculation: Torque = 10 N * 0.5 m = 5 Newton-meters (Nm). Result: You have generated 5 Nm of torque to turn the bolt.
