C4 pathway (Hatch-Slack cycle)

Study notes
Sugarcane in blazing tropical sun keeps photosynthesizing at full speed while nearby C3 weeds wilt — its Kranz anatomy pumps CO2 to RuBisCO at high concentration, so photorespiration stays near zero and yields stay high. This is why the world's most productive crops (maize, sugarcane, sorghum) are C4.
