Study notes
Mendel's dihybrid cross — yellow-round × green-wrinkled peas — gave 9:3:3:1 in the F2: 9 yellow-round, 3 yellow-wrinkled, 3 green-round, 1 green-wrinkled. The two new combinations (yellow-wrinkled, green-round) proved genes assort independently — traits reshuffle like cards, which is why siblings differ.
