Radiodiagnosis · MBBS

Study notes

Fever, consolidation — pneumonia; antibiotics; resolves. Chest imaging: pneumonia (consolidation — air bronchogram — lobar: antibiotics), TB (upper lobe — cavitation — miliary: ATT), effusion (blunting — meniscus — decubitus: tap — Light's — exudate/transudate; chest tube — empyema), pneumothorax (absent lung markings — visceral pleura: small — observe; large — chest tube), ARDS (bilateral — batwing), pulmonary edema (Kerley B — cardiac). Systematic read — ABCDE misses nothing.
