Study notes
Suspected PE — CT pulmonary angiography; clot seen; anticoagulated. Contrast studies: barium (swallow — esophagus; meal — stomach/duodenum; enema — colon — outlines lumen — not if perforation — water-soluble — Gastrografin), IVU (IV contrast — kidneys excrete — stones, PUJ obstruction — delayed films: hydrate — metformin), angiography (arterial — gold — coronary, cerebral: intervention — stenting, coiling; risks — groin hematoma), CT/MR angio (non-invasive — PE — CTPA; aneurysm — CTA). The PE is CTPA — anticoagulate.
