Disorders of muscles and bones

Study notes
An elderly woman who fractures her hip from a minor fall likely has osteoporosis — her bones lost calcium over years, becoming porous like honeycomb. Weight-bearing exercise and calcium/vitamin D slow it. Myasthenia gravis patients droop by evening — their immune system blocks acetylcholine receptors, weakening muscles; rest restores strength temporarily.
