Study notes
Example: A green leaf in sunlight uses chloroplasts to turn CO₂ + water into glucose. In autumn the chlorophyll breaks down, unmasking orange carotenoids in chromoplasts — that is why leaves turn orange-red. A potato's starch is stored in leucoplasts (amyloplasts).
