Study notes
A sample has 9 chains of 10k and 1 chain of 100k. Find Mn, Mw, PDI. Step 1: Mn = (9×10 + 1×100)/10 = 190/10 = 19k. Step 2: Mw = (9×100 + 1×10000)/(190) = 10900/190 = 57.4k. Step 3: PDI = 57.4/19 = 3.02. Step 4: One long chain skews Mw — weight average feels the giants!
