Study notes
A patient wheezes mid-procedure with known asthma. What is the sequence? Stop treatment, upright position, patient's own bronchodilator inhaler, oxygen, monitor - calling emergency services if not improving. Students learn the emergency algorithm: stop, position, drug, oxygen, monitor, escalate - rehearsed until automatic, because emergencies don't wait for textbook recall.
