Q: Max Z = 5x+3y; x+2y ≤ 10, 3x+y ≤ 12, x,y ≥ 0. Use corner points. Corners: (0,0); (4,0) [3x=12]; (0,5) [2y=10]; Intersection: x+2y=10, 3x+y=12: multiply 2nd by 2: 6x+2y=24; subtract: 5x=14, x=2.8, y=3.6. Z: (0,0)=0; (4,0)=20; (0,5)=15; (2.8,3.6)=14+10.8=24.8. OPTIMUM: (2.8, 3.6), Z = 24.8!
