Q: A jacket marked ₹2,000 has successive discounts 20% + 10%. Final SP? Single equivalent discount? Step 1: After 20%: 2000 × 0.80 = ₹1,600. Step 2: After 10%: 1600 × 0.90 = ₹1,440. Step 3: Total discount = 2000 − 1440 = ₹560. Step 4: Equivalent single discount = 560/2000 = 28% (NOT 30%!).
