Q: Does the integral from 1 to infinity of dx/x^2 converge? Evaluate it. Integral from 1 to b of dx/x^2 = [-1/x] from 1 to b = 1 - 1/b. As b goes to infinity: 1 - 0 = 1. Converges to 1! (But the integral from 1 to infinity of dx/x diverges: ln b grows forever.)
