Q: Simplify F = x + x′y using Boolean laws. x + x′y = (x + x′)(x + y) [distributive]. x + x′ = 1 [complement]. So F = 1·(x+y) = x+y. Simplified: F = x + y (one OR gate instead of three gates!)
