Patchy hair loss — alopecia areata; intralesional steroids; regrowth. Hair: alopecia areata (patchy — exclamation-mark hairs — autoimmune: intralesional triamcinolone; extensive — minoxidil, immunotherapy), androgenetic (male/female pattern — minoxidil, finasteride — male; transplant), telogen effluvium (diffuse shedding — 3mo post-stress — reassure — regrows), tinea capitis (children — oral griseofulvin). Nails: onychomycosis (thick yellow — KOH — oral terbinafine), ingrown toenail (wedge resection), paronychia (drain if pus). The patchy loss is areata — inject steroids.
