Regional anesthesia: spinal, epidural, nerve blocks

C-section under spinal — awake, painless; baby delivered. Regional: spinal (subarachnoid — L3-L4 — hyperbaric bupivacaine — dense — below umbilicus: complications — hypotension — fluids/vasopressor; PDPH — blood patch; high spinal — support), epidural (catheter — T/L — labor — segmental — top-ups; slower), combined spinal-epidural, nerve blocks (brachial plexus — interscalene/axillary — upper limb; femoral/sciatic — lower; TAP — abdominal wall). Contraindications — coagulopathy, infection, hypovolemia, raised ICP. The awake C-section is spinal — hypotension is common.
