Scenario: Alice wants to send a voice message to Bob using a landline phone. Step 1: Alice speaks into the phone handset. The microphone in the handset acts as the Transmitter. It converts her sound waves into an electrical signal. Step 2: The electrical signal travels through the copper wires connected to the telephone company. These wires are the Channel. As it travels, some static electricity from nearby machines might interfere, adding Noise to the signal. Step 3: The signal reaches Bob's house. The telephone in Bob's hand acts as the Receiver. It takes the electrical signal, removes some of the noise (if it has noise-canceling features), and converts it back into sound waves through the speaker. Bob hears Alice's voice. Result: Bob understands the message, despite the noise in the channel.
