A Daniell cell: Zn|Zn²⁺(1M)||Cu²⁺(1M)|Cu. Find E°cell. E°cathode (Cu²⁺/Cu) = +0.34 V, E°anode (Zn²⁺/Zn) = −0.76 V. E°cell = 0.34 − (−0.76) = 1.10 V. If [Zn²⁺] = 0.1M, [Cu²⁺] = 1M: E = 1.10 − (0.0592/2)log(0.1/1) = 1.10 + 0.0296 = 1.13 V.
