Synthesize 2-propanol from a Grignard reagent. Show steps. Step 1: Need (CH₃)₂CHOH — from CH₃MgBr + CH₃CHO. Step 2: Make Grignard: CH₃Br + Mg (dry ether) → CH₃MgBr. Step 3: Add acetaldehyde: CH₃MgBr + CH₃CHO → (CH₃)₂CHOMgBr. Step 4: H₃O⁺ workup → (CH₃)₂CHOH. Grignard builds alcohols!
