Study notes
ANB angle measures 7° (normal ~2°). What does this indicate? ANB is SNA minus SNB — the angular difference between upper and lower jaw positions. A large ANB means the maxilla sits well ahead of the mandible skeletally: a Class II skeletal pattern. Students learn this number translates a visual impression ('the lower jaw looks back') into a measured diagnosis that guides whether treatment is dental, growth-modifying, or surgical.
