Q: A school has 2000 students. 100 are surveyed about lunch quality. Identify population and sample. Population: all 2000 students (N = 2000). Sample: the 100 surveyed (n = 100). Population mean μ unknown; sample mean x̄ estimates it. Goal: infer μ from x̄!
