Q: Simplify: (a) arcsin(1/2) + arccos(1/2) (b) arctan 2 + arctan 3. (a) = π/2 (complementary identity). (b) Use arctan x + arctan y = arctan((x+y)/(1-xy)): (2+3)/(1-6) = -1. Sum = arctan(-1) + π = -π/4 + π = 3π/4. (Adjustment: both in Q1, sum in (π/2,π).)
