Q: Simplify: (a) sin(arctan 3/4) (b) cos(2arcsin(1/2)). (a) θ = arctan(3/4): opposite 3, adjacent 4, hyp 5. sin θ = 3/5. (b) Let α = arcsin(1/2) = π/6. cos(2α) = cos(π/3) = 1/2.
