Newborn — foot turned in; clubfoot; Ponseti casting started week 1. Pediatric orthopedics: CTEV — clubfoot (equinus, varus, adductus: Ponseti — serial casting — week 1 + tenotomy + boots-brace): DDH (developmental dysplasia — girls, breech: Ortolani/Barlow — newborn; Pavlik harness <6mo; closed/open reduction — later), Perthes (4–8yr — femoral head AVN — hip/thigh pain, limp: contain — Petrie cast/abduction brace), SCFE (obese adolescent — hip/knee pain — slip: pin in situ — urgently — bilateral check), growing pains (benign — night — no limp — reassure). The newborn foot is Ponseti — start week one.
