Diffusion and facilitated diffusion
Transport in plants · Biology
Study notes
Spray perfume in one corner of a room and soon everyone smells it — molecules diffuse from high to low concentration. In your lungs, oxygen diffuses from air sacs into blood while CO2 diffuses out. Nerve cells use facilitated diffusion through channel proteins to let sodium and potassium ions cross the membrane quickly.
